Questions about AI and credits

Do I have to pay to use CADCraft?

The CADCraft editor is free and needs no account. AI is optional: use your own API key and pay your provider, or sign in to use Craft credits.

Do the packs include different features?

No. Every pack gives access to the same AI Agent features. The difference is how many credits you buy. There is no subscription and credits do not expire.

How are credits used?

An Agent request can involve several model steps. Usage depends on the amount of context and the work needed, so one message does not always equal one credit. Your balance updates as credits are used. More involved requests may use more credits. DXF generation and explanation also use this balance, depending on the model and amount of drawing context.

How do the free credits work?

New Craft Apps accounts receive 10 welcome credits once, when the account is first created. They are shared across participating Craft sites. Signing into another Craft site with the same account does not grant another gift.

Is using my own API key free?

We do not charge a platform fee for own-key requests. Your provider charges for model usage under its own pricing. Requests go directly from your browser to that provider, without a Craft Apps sign-in.

What happens if an edit fails or I undo it?

A successful model step uses credits even if a subsequent editing command cannot complete. Native editing commands have no separate model fee. Undoing an edit does not refund the model usage already completed. With your own key, your provider’s billing rules apply.

Where can I use my credits?

One account and balance work across these participating Craft sites. Sign in with the same account on each.
